Fruits and other foods, including the rich, pure organic oils used to make handmade soap are full of antioxidants, vitamins and polyphenols that could nourish skin and neutralize free radicals. Other than sodium hydroxide (lye) that disappears and is non-existent in the soap upon full cure, after completing the saponification process, our soaps consist of pure, non-chemical ingredients that are non-toxic. Most other “soaps” are really detergents, with long chemical lists of ingredients, even if there are some natural ones.
Skin absorbs (essentially eats) what we put on it. Rich, skin-loving oils in handmade soap leave skin smooth and hydrated. Natural clays used for color, also absorb excess oil, detoxify, and soothe irritation. We do not use micas because we produce a cleansing product, so why wash with what we are trying to remove from skin (micas in make up)? Our soaps are scented only with essential oils that provide their own benefits, used in calculated safe amounts, never using chemical fragrance oils whose manufacturers do not even have to disclose their ingredients.
With this in mind, we'd like to introduce REPLENISH, a new COCONUT FREE seasonal soap, designed for sensitive skin, made with fresh-pressed, organic apple juice, apple cider vinegar. REPLENISh features the soothing, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and wound-healing properties of Babassu oil, Kokum butter and Rice Bran oil, as well as the moisturizing, replenishing benefits of Avocado oil. Patchouli, Orange, Clove Bud, Ginger Root and Cinnamon Leaf essential oils give REPLENISH a scent that suits the fall. Look for REPLENISH, available 9/1/2023.
